The lawsuit was filed in the District Court of New York. In the 130 page complaint, Nike also claimed that the owners of 676 social media accounts and more than 100 unidentified companies and individuals were involved in counterfeiting activities.

"The vast majority of the defendant's infringing websites are vague or completely false about the authenticity of the products sold," Nike wrote in the complaint "There are also claims that they will sell 'unauthorized genuine' Nike or converse products that are actually counterfeit products."

"In addition, the defendant's infringing website freely admits that the product sold is a 'generic version' of a Nike or converse product, and 'imitation' is a common euphemism used to describe counterfeit goods," Nike wrote

According to federal and New York State laws, Nike sued the defendant for nine illegal acts, including trademark infringement, trademark counterfeiting and trademark network infringement.
