Nigeria Levies Special Taxes On Some Imports.
According to Nigeria's "PM news" reported on May 20th, Ni finance minister Zainaba Ahmed said on the same day that the Federal Executive Committee has approved a 0.2% special tax on some commodities imported to Nigeria from countries and regions outside the African Union Member States.
She also said that there were also some duty-free commodities, including imported goods used for daily consumption, aid goods, goods that were specified in specific financing agreements, goods that were previously purchased or were being cleared.
