China Banking Regulatory Commission Officially Approved Construction Of Tibet Bank
Learned from the China Banking Regulatory Commission.

Recently approved the establishment of the Tibet bank.
At present, the relevant arrangements for the establishment, establishment, overall positioning and governance system of the preparatory organization have been completed.
It is understood that the Preparatory Bank of Tibet is the first local corporate banking institution in Tibet autonomous region, and the first joint stock commercial bank established by the autonomous region.

The autonomous region only has branches of 5 commercial banks, such as ICBC, ABC, Bank of China, CCB and postal savings bank, and most of them are concentrated in land (city) or above. The financial system below county level is incomplete, the number of financial institutions is small, and the varieties of financial services are very limited.
The Bank of Tibet was set up in a newly initiated way and initially raised 1 billion 500 million yuan of capital stock. The registered capital was Lhasa, capital of Tibet autonomous region, which was jointly funded by 15 units, including Tibet Autonomous Region government, domestic well-known banking financial institutions and high-quality enterprises inside and outside the region.
In order to ensure the normal operation and healthy development of new institutions, the CBRC and the Tibet autonomous regional government coordinate the introduction of Bank of communications as a strategic investor to help them establish corporate governance structure and operation according to the modern commercial bank system.
