The Ministry Of Industry And Commerce Announced That The Textile Industry Increased By 10.4% In The 1 Quarter Of This Year, With An Increase Of 22.3%.

In the 1 quarter of 2011, industrial production continued to maintain a relatively fast growth trend, and the added value of industrial added value above scale increased by 14.4% over the same period last year, 0.9 and 1.1 percentage points faster than last year's three and fourth quarter respectively; the added value increased by 14.8% in March, 0.7 percentage points faster than that in 1-2 months, and 1.19% growth over the same period.
Consumer goods industry grew steadily, in the 1 quarter of 2011.

Industrial added value increased by 14.3% over the same period last year, basically unchanged from the fourth quarter of last year.
Light industry
An increase of 15.6%, a 0.2 percentage point increase over the fourth quarter of last year.
Among the main products, dairy products increased by 12.4%, and the growth rate accelerated. The production of paper, paperboard, furniture and plastic products increased by 13.8%, 13.1% and 20.1% respectively.
The textile industry grew by 10.4%, 1.2 percentage points slower than the fourth quarter of last year.
Among the main products, yarn, cloth and clothing increased by 12.5%, 19.9% and 14.6% respectively, and chemical fiber increased by 18%.
The pharmaceutical industry grew by 15.4%, down 0.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year, and the output of chemical drugs and proprietary Chinese medicines increased by 29% and 22.2% respectively.
The tobacco industry increased by 13.7%, down 0.5 percentage points compared with the same period last year, and cigarette output increased by 3.2%.
Industrial exports accelerated recovery.
In the 1 quarter, the delivery value of industrial products increased by 20.9% over the previous year (21.1% in March), down 4.3 percentage points from the same period last year, 0.7 percentage points faster than the fourth quarter of last year, of which the delivery value of light industry and textile industry increased 25.8% and 22.3% respectively, up 6.8 and 8.3 percentage points compared to the same period of the same period.
