Popularizing Scientific Research Achievement &Nbsp; Promoting Sericulture Industry Development
The national sericulture industry technology system, Sericultural Resources Comprehensive utilization demonstration base (West Guangdong), was unveiled in our city's sericulture Center recently. The director of the research room for the processing and comprehensive utilization of the national sericulture technology system, the vice president of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the researcher and the doctorate tutor, the senior adviser to the agricultural technology of the Maoming Municipal People's government, Liao Sentai, and the vice chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative conference, Cui Ximing, were unveiled.
Huazhou is the main producing area of sericulture production in our province, and also an important base for sericulture production in the whole country. It was approved by the Ministry of agriculture in 1986 as the base of sericulture.
In recent years, our city's Sericulture Technology Extension Center has achieved certain results in comprehensive development and utilization of Sericultural Resources in cooperation with the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Besides the traditional silk quilt, more than 30 products, including mulberry leaf tea, mulberry juice, silkworm chrysalis oil and capsule, silkworm moth wine, mulberry twig mushroom and so on, have been initially developed.
Cui Ximing said in his speech that the sericultural industry comprehensive utilization demonstration base of the sericultural industry technology system was set up in western Guangdong and located in our city.
Promotion of sericulture technology
The center is to attach importance to and support the development of silkworm industry in our city and even in western Guangdong.
The city's science and Technology Department will take this opportunity to give full support to institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes.
Research findings
It will be popularized and applied in our city so as to better promote the healthy development of sericulture industry in our city.
