Japanese Emperor Will Launch Eco Plant Fiber In 2012.
Japanese Imperial fiber Ltd. is the Core Company of the polyester business of the Dixie group. The company announces that it will formally produce and sell new plant based polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers in April 2012. This is the first commercially produced polyester fiber from the world.
The new product is named.
Ecosphere plant fiber
(ECO CIRCLE PlantFiber), this new product will become the core of the company. Its applications range from clothing, car seats and interior decoration to personal hygiene products.
It is expected that in the first fiscal year (end of March 2013), it will sell 30000 tons of ecosphere plant fiber, and its sales volume will reach 70000 tons in third years.
The composition of plant fiber in the ecosystem is 30%.
Biofuels
For example, sugar cane biomass.
The traditional PET is usually produced by polymerized ethylene glycol (EG), terephthalic acid two (DMT) or terephthalic acid (PTA), of which EG accounts for about 30%.
The EG in plant fiber from the ecosystem is derived from living things, not oil. Therefore, it helps protect fossil resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Moreover, ecosphere plant fiber has the same characteristics and quality as that of oil source polyester, so it can be applied to many polyester products.
Ecosphere plant fiber can also be recycled and utilized by the closed loop polyester recycling system of the ecological circle of the di man fiber company.
