Looking back to the first half of 2010, Jinjiang's footwear exports amounted to US $1 billion 100 million, an increase of 6.8% over the same period last year, of which the self operated exports were about 995 million US dollars, up by more than 70%.
The recovery of footwear export in Jinjiang has increasingly highlighted the employment dilemma of Jinjiang's labor-intensive footwear products. In the second half of this year, Jinjiang footwear enterprises have begun to recruit workers, but many enterprises still face the problem of underemployment.
