Asia's largest fashion show "Hongkong Fashion Festival Spring Summer Series" and Hongkong summer gifts, household goods and Toys Exhibition opened 5 days ago. Over the 4 days of two exhibitions, more than 1700 exhibitors were gathered, and more than 5500 buyers participated.

Fang Gang, chairman of the Advisory Committee of garment industry in Hongkong's TDC, said at the opening ceremony that the garment industry in Hongkong has been attracting large quantities of buyers from all over the world to choose clothes and accessories for the past few decades, thanks to its excellent manufacturing and production technology and flexible trade and marketing support. Moreover, Hongkong has also enjoyed a huge market share in developing the huge mainland market.

He pointed out that last year alone, the total export value of clothing and clothing accessories in Hongkong amounted to HK $176 billion 900 million.

The exhibition will provide an ideal business platform for exhibitors to meet more buyers from all over the world and strive for orders.

The seventeenth Fashion Festival Spring Summer Series attracted 21 countries and regions and nearly 1300 exhibitors. The exhibition has 4 national and regional pavilions, including the mainland, India, Macao and Taiwan.

To promote contacts and exchanges in the industry, various fashion shows will be held during the fashion festival to allow designers from all over the world to compete with each other. The conference has arranged a number of seminars to provide the industry with the latest market and trend information platform.

In addition, the seventh Hongkong summer gifts, household products and Toys Fair held 12 exhibition areas, attracting more than 400 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions. The British Virgin Islands is the first time to participate in the exhibition.

In 2009, the total export value of gifts, household products and toys in Hongkong was close to HK $400 billion.
