Since January, the import volume of American cotton textile products has dropped sharply, of which bedding and bath towels have been reduced by 16.3%, to 94 million 500 thousand square meters, the largest monthly decline in 13 years. The pillowcases, bed sheets, bedspreads and bath towels decreased by 14%-21% compared with the same period last year.

In January, the import volume of American cotton yarn dropped to 1 million 700 thousand kg, down 51.3% from the same period last year, the lowest level in 12 years.

The average volume of exports to the US by the 9 largest suppliers reached 51.3%, of which Pakistan's exports to the United States decreased by 47.1%, to 460 thousand kilograms, the lowest level since 1997, and Thailand's exports to the United States decreased by 83.5% to 58 thousand kilograms.

With the decline of the US dollar and the lowest output of cloth in February, it is difficult to reverse the decline in US cotton yarn imports in the coming months.
