Houjie Town will focus its efforts on ensuring growth this year. It will leverage the government investment to pry up 5 billion yuan of social and private investment to cultivate new economic growth points.

There are hundreds of shoe factories in Houjie Town, which produce about 600 million pairs of shoes each year, and become the main R & D, trade and manufacturing centers of export footwear and shoe materials and shoe machines in China. In order to build a shoe industry cluster demonstration area, Houjie Town is going to start construction of the Huarui world shoe industry (Asia) headquarters base this year, with an estimated investment of US $160 million.

      華瑞•世界鞋業(yè)（亞洲）總部基地副總經(jīng)理張鴻：“ 要把中國(guó)鞋業(yè)廣東東莞的鞋業(yè)更快地融入全球鞋業(yè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)體系中，使東莞厚街形成一個(gè)鞋業(yè)的時(shí)尚發(fā)布中心和定價(jià)中心，成為中國(guó)的意大利米蘭。”今年，厚街鎮(zhèn)共啟動(dòng)了50億元投資項(xiàng)目，其中，政府投資10億元用于生產(chǎn)性投資及水利工程等基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，此外，外企和民企項(xiàng)目、民間投資各占20億元。

      厚街鎮(zhèn)委書(shū)記黎惠勤：“新的一年我們將以社會(huì)投資為主，政府投資為輔的原則，通過(guò)政府投資來(lái)撬動(dòng)社會(huì)跟民間的投資，我們希望通過(guò)這個(gè)高強(qiáng)度的投資，對(duì)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)產(chǎn)生直接的刺激跟拉動(dòng)的作用?！?/font>刺激本地消費(fèi)也是厚街?jǐn)U大內(nèi)需的重頭戲之一，該鎮(zhèn)將于4月28日到5月28日期間舉辦東莞市首屆酒店文化節(jié)活動(dòng)，提升厚街酒店服務(wù)品牌。
