Textile Raw Materials: Australian Wool Market Closed Up 2.3%

This week, the Australian wool Market (Sydney, Melbourne and Freeman) averaged 2.3% higher.

AWEXEMI rose 22 Australian cents (+2.9%) to 788 Australian cents per kilogram.

The northern market was up 25 +3.1%, and South market was up 20 cents (+2.7%). This week, the corresponding regional prices were reported to be 819 Australian and 763 Australian cents (skimmed wool).

Western prices rose 8 Australian cents (+1.1%), closing at 754 Australian cents.

The composite index (EMI) rose 65 Australian cents in two trading days.

This week, the number of auctions is 36468 packs, the smallest number of auctions this year, compared with 43661 packets last week.

On Tuesday, the New Zealand Merino company reported 2249 bales of wool in Melbourne, with a turnover rate of 8.3%.

The sale of the first 76 packages withdrew from the auction and the re offer rate was 14%.

On Monday, the Aussie dollar rose 0.79 Australian cents against the US dollar last Thursday, fell 0.10 Australian cents on Tuesday, fell 0.21 Australian cents on Wednesday, and fell 0.90 Australian cents to 63.51 Australian cents, down 0.42 Australian points (0.7%) from the last paction.

China is the main buyer of the market.

Next week, Newcastle, Melbourne and Freeman will open for sale, with the current sales volume of 45563 bales.

In South Africa, the offer was 8997 packs, the Cape wool index increased by 4.7% compared with last week, Rand's appreciation of the US dollar by 0.5%, and the appreciation of the euro by 0.1%.
